Windows 7 Issues... Try again...
I just put up another build that should correct the problem installing on Windows 7... Figures all the time I spent on this over the last week or two and I put up the wrong .zip file!  Let me know if the new build installs on Windows 7 OK.

I just installed in Windows 7 through RDP and it installed fine. Looks like it will work fine but hard to test through RDP... I'm sure it will work great. Thanks for the great job on the plugin. Looking forward to getting home and fully testing it.

Just installed on Windows 7. Went great. No issues at all. Question though, I'm only seeing a few networks and not all of the shows I saw in the screenshots. I don't see Hulu at all. Does it take time to populate or am I missing something. I'm using it on my laptop right now and using a mouse. Don't know if that makes a difference. Thanks Adam Entertainment 2.0

Adam... Hulu isn't listed as a network... the networks (like fox, nbc, etc) are on hulu... hulu is just one of the content providers!

Still no luck installing on Windows 7 64bit. The filename I downloaded was the same, so I refreshed the page a couple times to make sure it was current. Anyhow.. it still says I need Vista. Even if I try to install in VIsta compatability mode.

Installed with Win7 Beta (x64) without issue, can play videos, however video webpage can take a long time to appear, then doesn't go fullscreen (assuming this is what the Known Issues list described). However two other issues: - There are several black boxes around the video area on the hulu page -- some are covering where the 7MC playback and Back/Start controls are located, others is a square box in the lower left, and one right and slightly lower than the video. - Pausing the video does not appear to work. The instant I press the pause button on the hulu video control, the video pauses then immediate resumes. Too bad Hulu doesn't provide the interfaces to be able to use the built in video player controls rather than haviing to host a web page... Otherwise, very cool!

AWESOME work! I have it installed on Windows 7 and it works very well! The only problems I encountered small. It does not automatically go into fullscreen when watching Hulu content, and the play/pause remote buttons don't work. It's super cool as it is, so if those things were fixed, it would simply be icing on the cake. I can't tell you how much I love it. Thanks!

Installed on a Vista Ultimate(32) with no problems - Once in Media Center and clicking on the Secondrun.TV link in the menu it takes me to the plugin. Works great and at first I thought I couldnt see all of the "TV Networks " but I could if I hit the left and right arrows on keyboard. Looks like the standard Media Center "Right and Left" arrows arent showing up within the Add-In. Awsome work! Soon I wont need Cable Service either!

Using Orca I was able to install on Win7 by removing the Version Check. So far works great!! Got it to default to HiRes by logging in and changing my profile.

No luck installing on Win7x64. When attempting "msiexec /a setup.msi /l" to install it says it completes successfully, but it never shows up in MC. Won't install on Win7 64bit.

Had to modify the msi using orca to get the install to succeed on my Windows 7 64 bit machine. Now when I try to launch the app from within MCE it crashes. I see this exception in the Media Center event log Exception System.IO.FileLoadException: Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.MediaCenter.UI, Version=6.0.6000.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35' or one of its dependencies. For those of you having problems installing on Windows 7 64bit like I did (because of the Vista OS version check). Here is the work around: Go here http://blogs.msdn.com/astebner/archive/2020/07/12/180792.aspx to downlaod Orca. Run orca and open the SecondRun setup.msi install file. Go to custom action and double click "CA_ErrWrongWindowsVersion" Now just rename it "dummy" Click File Save and you can now run the install sucessfully.

Using orca to change the windows version requirement works, but for those who wouldn't want to edit the MSI properties, I would hope a version will come soon that just works without tinkering after downloading. That said, great job on this product.

The problem with 7 is the AssemblyVersion for 'Microsoft.MediaCenter.UI.dll'. Vista MC is 6.0.6000.0. Win7 MC is 6.1.0.0 so the assembly cannot load. I think there's a way to create an assembly redirect, but there's a risk that something in the 6.1 version is not compatible. Ideally, the author could recompile his assembly against a real win7 assembly. The other option is to decompile/recompile. I might try that.
